LicenseWorks worked with the Harvard team to develop a strong lifestyle positioning pitch for the brand. Following their prospecting efforts, LicenseWorks negotiated a DTR licensing partnership with one of India’s largest fashion retailers in the apparel category. Once this category was successfully launched, the footwear category was a natural extension for the brand. LicenseWorks enabled this launch in partnership with a best-in-class licensee, who has a strong distribution network both online and offline. LicenseWorks diligently worked with the licensees to develop a sales and marketing plan that would guarantee the program’s continued success.
These brand extensions paved the way for future extensions into other lifestyle categories such as bags, backpacks, watches, eyewear and stationery.
Today, Harvard’s licensed products make up one of the most successful University licensing programs in India at retail.
