BACKGROUND
The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, founded in 1911 is the 3rd oldest United States Polo Association Club, in the United States. Celebrated for its lush fields and international outdoor competitions, the club is renowned for both its longevity as well as rich heritage. For over a century, the SBPRC has been synonymous with style and quality and represents ageless prestige and an illustrious legacy.
APPROACH & RESULT
With a legacy as renowned as this, developing a line of SBPRC-branded Apparel, Footwear and Accessories was a natural extension of the brand’s rich history and powerful equity. For this purpose, LicenseWorks identified a large fashion retailer for a DTR licensing partnership. The result of the licensing efforts was that SBPRC has had a successful launch with over 60 shop-in-shops across India, within the first year itself. The brand now continues to grow in other adjacent categories.
