Thomson™ Re-Enters India With Televisions

French electronics brand Thomson, owned by Technicolor SA, has announced its re-entry into the Indian market with its range of smart LED TVs in partnership with the licensee SPPL. The launch event was held at the French Embassy in Delhi. Coordination of the licensing partnership was led by the leading Indian brand licensing

agency LicenseWorks.


As part of the the exclusive licensing agreement with SPPL (Super Plastronics), the brand unveiled its 43 UHD (ultra-high-definition) 4K, 40 smart and 32 smart TVs, which will be exclusively available on India’s leading E-commerce platform Flipkart.

“Technicolor, owner of Thomson brand, is very proud to sign a long-term license with SPPL as a strategic partner to develop Thomson’s presence in India,” said Claire Villeneuve, Head, Intellectual Property and Licensing, Technicolor, France.
